the fine print...

bring your own laptop

We are a small startup education company, and at this time we do not have a computer lab. You'll need to bring your own laptop (we have one you can use) with the appropriate software installed. Adobe offers free 30-day trials of their products if you don't already own the program. Since the design community primarily uses Apple computers, we teach on them. If you have PC, that's fine, we just might point and laugh. Kidding! Our internet access is wireless, so your computer will need to have the ability as well.

payment

The fee for each class is due upon registration. You'll need to register online, and can use a credit, debit, or checking account. Our website will automatically route you to paypal.com. You can also make a check out to The Spark Commission and mail it to P.O. Box 8306 Boise, ID 83708.

refunds/no shows

Each class needs a minimum of four students. If that threshold is not met, your entire class fee will be refunded. The maximum number of students is 8 per class. If the class is full, we will make every effort to open up another section of that class at another time. If you register and pay for a class, but are unable to attend any of the sessions, we will refund half of your payment. If you miss a session, your payment will not be refunded. location

All classes are held in the conference room at the Muse Building 1317 W. Jefferson St., Boise, ID, 83702. The building is wonderful and the conference room is a great place for creative work (we hate depressing computer labs and wouldn't subject you to one). Check out their website.

do i have to be a designer?

No, but we highly suggest you consider yourself a creative professional. We aren't your basic cookie-cutter-business-education-computer-lab-setup and most of the software programs we teach don't have templates and ready-made design elements. We are design educators, so we assume that you are comfortable with creative endeavors, you care about good design, and you want a learning experience that uses art and design as a backdrop.

tutoring

We don't have any formal tutoring policy yet. If you want one-on-one tutoring, just let us know and I'm sure we can work out the details.
