stuff to check outMy students at BSU bring in inspirational items everyday and I post them to www.graphicdesignclass.wordpress.com. Check it out occasionally when you want to see what the kids think is cool. One freaky freaky cool entry is Jared Eberhardt's website. It's is out of hand!
You don't have to stick to the same old standard fonts when creating a web site. typekit.com has a library of fonts that you can use (for a fee). We used typekit for this website and we chose Metallophile Sp8. It's a facsimile of an 8-point sans serif typeface as set on a 1940s-vintage hot metal typesetting machine. It was designed by Mark Simonson. It's a little hard to read online, but I couldn't help myself, sorry! I heart it. |
